Knife attack in China kills three school kids – killer jumps off the roof

A knife attack in the Dongfang primary school in Shiyan city led to the death of three of the school kids bbc.com. As per reports, it seems a man in his forties stabbed eight children and an adult and later killed himself by jumping off a building.
In the attack, a total of six more people were injured in the knife attack in the school situated in China's central Hubei province.
It is understood that an official investigation was underway.
The man is a parent of one of the students and the motive for the attack appears to be because the school "refused to allow his daughter to register for the new term on Monday" since she did not finish her summer homework.
Incidentally, China has increased security measures in schools in recent years in view of a series of similar attacks – these attacks are usually carried out by people who hold personal grudges or are suffering from mental health problems.
It may be recalled that in March 2010, a man stabbed to death eight students at a school in China's south-eastern Fujian province.
