61-year-old woman kicked and stamped her husband to death over a pack of cigarettes

It was an argument over a pack of cigarettes that led the 61-yer-old woman to kick and stamp to death her 64-year-old husband. The diminutive 5ft woman unleashed the brutal attack at their home on the Isle of Skye in February last year.
She has now been convicted of murder and jailed for a minimum of 15 years.
This has been reported in dailymail.co.uk dated 19 June 2015.
The woman complained that her husband, a former paramedic, had hidden a packet of cigarettes on the night he was killed. Both of them had earlier tried to give up smoking.
The terrible murder took place at their home on the Breakish area of Skye, where they had moved to in the 1990s after her husband had left his former wife. The woman, during the trial, told the Court that she could not remember the assault.
The murdered man was a foot taller than his wife and, suffered multiple facial injuries, 20 rib fractures and extensive bruising as a result of the assault.
